Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority

The Downtown Development Authority is a steward of the neighborhood at the heart of Fort Collins – the Downtown.

Since our inception in 1981 by a vote of district property owners and residents, the DDA had been guided by our Plan of Development and our

Mission: to build public-private investment partnerships that foster economic, cultural and social growth in the central business district.

COVID-19 and Old Town Square Events

The health and wellness of our team and community at large is a priority of the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority.  To support this effort, the DDA is adhering to the directives issued by State and County public health officials, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention relative to the COVID-19 (coronavirus). On March 25, 2020, Public Health Director Tom Gonzales issued a Stay at Home order requiring all individuals in Larimer County to stay at home except for food and essential services to further reduce the spread of illness in our community. The order is effective March 26th at 5PM through April 17th. Read the full executive order HERE. Due to this recent recommendation, the DDA will not be accepting new applications for event permits in Old Town Square before April 30, 2020.  This is subject to change pursuant to the advisement of public health officials. Further questions regarding event/vendor permits for Old Town Square, please contact Bonnie Ward, (970) 484-2020, bjward@fcgov.com

Pavia & Mahina

Pavia Justinian, “Mahina”, $16,500

Where did you learn your craft?
I apprenticed with local art legend Dave Davis, who began Grand Junction’s Art on the Corner exhibit, after which many exhibits like this one have been modeled. Dave taught me how to weld and how to combine a variety of seemingly disparate materials into one seamless sculpture.
