How we’re funded

The DDA doesn’t ask for new taxes. It reinvests the growth that downtown already generates.

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) works like this: as property values rise in the downtown district, the incremental tax revenue is reinvested back into the district — funding the projects and improvements that make growth possible in the first place.

Parking & transportation

Understanding how people get to downtown.

The DDA’s 2023 Parking and Travel Habit Survey gives an evidence-based look at how visitors, employees, and residents navigate downtown Fort Collins.
